And I still haven’t gotten a job OR finished writing my story >.<
Last Chance For Animals
•December 20, 2006 • Leave a Commenthttp://www.lcanimal.org/about.htm
Just a few ways you can help stop Animal Cruelty:
Lead by example. Take good care of your own cat or dog.
Learn everything you can about animals and animal protection issues.
Do not shop at stores that sell puppies or kittens.
Do not attend circuses, rodeos, marine parks, or other forms of “entertainment” that exploit animals.
Go vegetarian! Or better yet, vegan. While a vegetarian eats no meat, a vegan also boycotts eggs, dairy, leather, wool, and other byproducts of animal suffering.
Do not buy products that are tested on animals. For a list of cruelty-free companies, visit http://www.peta.org/mall/cc.html.
Do not contribute to charities that fund animal research. For a list of cruelty-free health charities, visit http://www.humaneseal.org/approved.html.
Write letters to your elected officials, and encourage them to support legislation that helps animals. For your elected officials’ contact information, visit http://www.vote-smart.org/index.phtml.
Makes you think, eh?
:[ Poor Animals….
Oh, also, here’s another idea.
This Christmas, Mum and her Sister, have decided not to give us “kids” presents this year, seen as Christmas is really all about family anyway. (And we’re all 15+, so we dont really need presents)
Instead, we’re going to split the money that we would have spent on buying presents, and donate it to an Animal/Pet Foundation, and the Salvation Army? We haven’t decided which Foundations yet.
I think this is a great idea, and I feel glad that the money that would have been spent on me, is going to people and animals that need it the most. ^-^
Another Year Over
•December 13, 2006 • Leave a CommentWell, almost…
I’m continually surprised at how fast years go…. So much I haven’t yet done in my life, sigh.
I might never make it through next year, but I think back, and I have no regrets about anything I have done in my life. ^-^
Wow, I mean WOW. Year 10. Ha! When I was young, I used to think that being 15 was old, but I will be 16 next year :O Time flies.
Hmm, well, I’d really like to write about all the changes I have been through this year, but to tell you the truth, nothing much has happened… Except, of course, my best friend leaving me to go to England for 6 months. :( I almost died, you hear that JARRA, I ALMOST DIED!!
But I’m fine now…. >.>
I am planning on finishing my story over the holidays.
Writing a blurb, Doing the front cover (Just because I like to draw;)), Possibly re-writing the first few chapters, and finishing off the ending. It’s all in my head, I just have to write it down now. :)
Hmm, I am also going to start up Karate next year, with my sister. We’ve started to grow apart. We used to go to the same schools, and spend much more time together… But since year 7….
Im glad that she wants to start up Karate with me, so I get to spend more time with my awesome twin ^-^
I am also planning on getting a job during the holidays. A friend of a friend of mine, has just been given a really well paid, part-time job. (She’s just starting year 12, I think).
This job I will, hopefully, get. It’s at the library stacking books. Dull, boring, I know. BUT, you get paid $15 an hour (I think the amount changes, depending on your age), which is extremely good money, if you think about it. 2-3 days a week, for 2 hours… YUMMY! BRING ON THE CASH! $$$
Yep, and then there’s Christmas. I just sent off a package to Jarra in England. Cost Mum $17.50 >.< Sorry Mum!
And I have my family Christmas on Saturday, this weekend. Dont know which side of the family, though. :/
Well, I think that’s about it for this year, and what I have planned for next year.
Just a few last words…..
HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY, AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
(Im looking forward to the illegal fireworks in the back field behind my house *wink**wink*, muahahaha! Always the best part of the new year. I just hope that they dont burn us all, with the hot weather and all)
Yay!

So you think you’re having a bad day?
•November 17, 2006 • Leave a Comment17/11/2006
My bad day started when I had a weird dream (well, I really had the weird dream yesterday, but I was thinking about it today). And I was thinking about it all morning, and my hair was being a bitch and by the time we left home, it was 8:33am, I was going to be late for school.
Then, I had a headache all day and we had English, and I got more homework, and THEN, at lunch time, I dropped my lunch and I had to throw it out.
That’s it so far, but I’m sure more bad things will happen soon :[
On the bright side, I had a good day yesterday ^-^
I'm writing a new story, which will probably never get finished, but it was fun starting it off :]
C$#* The Movie. Who is to blame?
•November 1, 2006 • Leave a Comment“The belief in a supernatural source of evil is not necessary, men alone are quite capable of every wickedness.”
Who is responsible?
It is hard to point the finger at one particular person, I think that it was partly the victims fault (the girl that was abused) and also the Abusers (the 12 boys), and yes, every single one of thoses boys are to blame.
The girl, because she agreed to meet these boys (well, a few of them anyway) when she only really knew them over the internet, as in, they had never met before in person.
And the boys, because they were the ones that did it, who betrayed the girl’s trust in them.
Bananas: The Reason For The Non-Existance of World Peace
•October 23, 2006 • Leave a CommentI hope that heading made sense to you.
I just thought I’d like to bring up the issue of Bananas, and why we don’t have World Peace.
Think there’s a connection?
Well, so do I. So, being my usual, stange self, I did some research:
Banana is the common name used for herbaceous plants in the genus Musa, which because of their size and structure, are often mistaken for trees.
Globally, bananas rank fourth after rice, wheat and maize in human consumption; they are grown in 130 countries worldwide, more than any other fruit crop.
Think about it…
World peace is a future ideal of freedom, peace and happiness among and within all nations.
I hope this information has made you think about Bananas and the connection that they may have with “World Peace”, or lack of.

((Just an extra bit of jibberish))
The depiction of a person slipping on a banana peel has been a staple of physical comedy for generations. A 1906 comedy record produced by Edison Records features a popular character of the time, “Cal Stewart”, claiming to describe his own such incident, saying:
| I don’t think much of a man what throws a bananer peelin’ on the sidewalk, and I don’t think much of a bananer what throws a man on the sidewalk, neether. … my foot hit that bananer peelin’ and I went up in the air, and cum down ker-plunk, and fer about a minnit I seen all the stars what stronomy tells about, and some that haint been discovered yit. Wall jist as I wuz pickin’ myself up a little boy cum runnin’ cross the street and he sed “Oh mister, won’t you please do that agin, my mother didn’t see you do it.” |
Because of the stereotypical image of monkeys and apes eating bananas, they have been used for racist insults, such as throwing bananas at sports players of African descent.
In Chinese culture, banana is a slang term which is used to describe an Asian person who acts like a caucasian (yellow on the outside, white on the inside). Due to their association with monkeys they are also used as tokens in the 3D Nintendo versions of Donkey Kong and the Sega series Super Monkey Ball. Bananas are also “humorously” used as a phallic symbol due to similarities in size and shape.
